Apple Crisp
A simple and delicious dessert. Can be made with whatever fruit you like, but apples are my favorite.
4 apples, peaches, pears, (peeled and sliced)
or enough fruit to cover a greased 8” x 8” pan
¼ cup white flour
¼ cup wheat flour
½ cup brown sugar
3 Tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cardamom
1/3 cup chopped pecans, optional
Combine dry ingredients, mix with butter. Sprinkle over fruit.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until toothpick can pierce fruit easily.
Serve warm or cold.
It is lovely warm with ice cream.
