I’ve been receiving daily emails from the University regarding a challenge to spend 30 minutes in nature each day in October. Not a difficult thing to do. I thought the post below was of particular interest as the leaves continue to fall. With the gathering of leaves for our holiday tree, I marvel at the beauty of each individual leaf. Each leaf seems better than the last – all painted by Mother Nature.

What shape is that leaf? Pick up a leaf from under a tree and what shape do you see? Oval, Palmate, Lobed, Whorled. Associate the shape with an action of self-care. For example, the maple leaf is palmate and a similar shape to a hand – hands are for creating – set an intention for creating something with your hands. Let the leaf be a reminder of your intention to take care of yourself.
